The Staffordshire Society of Rugby Union Referees (S.R.U.S.R.) provides qualified rugby referees for games played in Staffordshire, (Levels 6 to 12) and also referees who go to other counties to referee level 5 games on exchange.
We have a sound core of lady referees who referee ladies games as well as junior and men’s fixtures.
We are very proud that one of our female referees, Emily Hope. After winning the 22/23 Female Official of the year prize Emily has progressed to her refereeing debuts in the 24/25 season at Regional 1 level, U20’s and U18’s Women’s 6 Nations, refereeing the Women’s Championship final and supporting as assistant referee in the Premiership Women’s Rugby. Emily will be a fourth official during the 2025 Women’s World Cup.
