Sunday, 9 August saw Lichfield RUFC welcome members of SRUSR, who turned out for the society’s annual Training & Development pre-season Bronco test to assess their fitness.
With the current lack of any rugby at the community level and little idea as to when it might resume, the decision was made to postpone the meetings and presentations part of the day. However, the Bronco test could be run outside with appropriate social distancing.
Ably organised by Craig Maxwell-Keys, who administered the test and collated the times, participants included a Premiership referee, an aspiring National Panel AR, members of the Midland Group, as well as existing and new members of SRUSR (young & old).
Those in attendance showed that they had been putting the lockdown to good use with a number posting impressive times and PBs.
